Physicians graduate from Family Medicine residency program
July — Graduation ceremonies were held for seven physicians who recently completed the three-year Family Medicine residency program at Warren Hospital. The doctors include:
Raymond Adedapo, M.D., who will practice in Texas; Lei Gong, M.D., who will join the staff of Atlantic General Hospital in Snow Hill, Maryland; and Aaron Guthrie, M.D. who will practice in Pensacola, Florida.
Also, Gabriela Popescu, M.D., who will join the staff of St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem; Sean Te, M.D., who will practice at Urgent Care in Los Angeles, California; Mark Thiele, M.D., who will join the staff of Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Florida; and Gary Wright, M.D., who will join the staff of Care Medical Associates Swiftwater Family Practice in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Wright received the W. Robert Jacobs, M.D. Memorial Award, given each year in recognition of a graduate’s outstanding talents as a Family Medicine physician. First year resident Marlen Luna, M.D. received the Leo D. Gray, M.D. Intern of the Year Memorial Award.
Also honored were William Braun, M.D. and Eugene Decker, D.O. as Preceptors of the Year, and Raymond Buch, M.D. as Attending Physician of the Year. Drs. Adam Dratch, Robert Gayner, Joseph Jacobs, Robert Pursell and Richard Snyder, all of Lehigh Valley Nephrology Associates, were honored as Specialist Group of the Year.
Raymond Buch, M.D. is director of the residency program, which began in 1980.
